| Scott is an
experienced instructor of bass and tenor drummers. His services as
an instructor are called upon regularly at home and abroad to help
improve player potential and competitive performance.
Pipe Bands
Midsections play a vital role in the
overall ensemble of the pipe band performance and can often provide
weight to the factors determining a band's overall placement in a
competition. Improving the quality of midsection performance
therefore has obvious benefits for the entire pipe band.
Scott has assisted a number of pipe
bands including Arbroath RBL Pipe Band (Scotland), Balmoral
Highlanders Pipe Band (USA), Bleary & District
Pipe Band (Northern Ireland), Clan Gregor Society Pipe Band
(Scotland), Cullen Pipe Band (Eire), 6/8th Dundee Coy. Boys' Brigade
Pipe Band (Scotland), Finvoy Pipe Band (Northern
Ireland), St Thomas' Episcopal School Pipe Band (USA) and Warrington Pipe Band (England).
Workshops
Attending
workshops is an activity that most bass and tenor drummers will
undertake during their playing careers. They provide great
opportunities for drummers to learn from guest instructors in a
focused environment.
Every discipline associated with the
art form can be catered for at every level of student ability.
Scott regularly instructs tenor
drumming workshops in the UK and North America. Some of the
